Krypton Building Services - A look back at 2024

The year 2024 has been one of real momentum for the Krypton team – delivering high-quality projects across retail, healthcare, leisure and beyond, while strengthening the partnerships that drive our continued success. We’ve taken on new challenges across the UK, expanded our team, and deepened key relationships, ensuring we’re always evolving and ready for what’s next. With a strong foundation and a clear vision, we look forward to building on this success and delivering even greater impact in 2025.

As always, our focus has been on precision, safety, and efficiency, tailoring every project to meet our clients’ needs. Here’s a look at some of our most notable projects this year:

Retail Sector

We’ve delivered a range of retail projects for John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose. From infrastructure upgrades to enhancements that elevate both customer and staff experiences, these projects have been a key part of our 2024 portfolio.

John Lewis, Oxford Street – We carried out a full roof replacement, ensuring the long-term integrity of the building, while upgrading external smoke vents on the ground floor to enhance fire safety compliance.

John Lewis, Welwyn Garden City – Working in a live retail environment always presents challenges, but our team carefully managed the capital maintenance asbestos removal on the sales floor. Following this, we installed new M&E services within freshly constructed ceilings, modernising the building’s facilities while minimising disruption to the store’s operations.

John Lewis, High Wycombe – We refreshed and expanded the beauty department, improving displays for brands like Clarins and Trinny London to enhance the shopping experience. We also relocated key departments for a smoother store layout and introduced a new large electrical concept, increasing display space and creating a more interactive way for customers to explore the latest products.

Healthcare Sector

Delivering upgrades in healthcare settings requires precision and careful planning, ensuring that facilities can continue running smoothly while we improve them. This year, we’ve completed a range of projects that directly impact patient care and hospital operations.

Ashtead Hospital (Ramsay Healthcare), Surrey – We installed a new MRI scanner, expanding the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities and improving patient services.

CRGH fertility clinic, Farringdon – We carried out critical fire safety upgrades, including door refurbishments to meet the latest regulations and improve overall safety standards.

Three Shires Hospital (Circle Health Group), Northampton – External landscaping and improvements to patient transition areas, enhancing accessibility and creating a more welcoming environment.

Chiltern Hospital (Circle Health Group), Buckinghamshire – A series of enhancement works to maintain the high standard of care the hospital is known for, ensuring a safe, well-maintained space for both staff and patients.

Looking ahead

2024 has been a year of delivering ambitious, high-impact projects across multiple sectors. Our expertise in managing complex builds – on time and within budget – has strengthened client relationships and reinforced our reputation for quality and precision. As we look to 2025, we’re excited to continue to innovate, collaborate, and exceed expectations in every sector we serve.

We transform spaces so people think, work and live better.
